From the first call to your final surf session, here is the exact sequence we follow. Each stage has a clear purpose, a defined duration, and a practical outcome you can measure.
We start with a 30-minute video call to discuss your current surfing level, goals, and any physical limitations. You send us two clips of your recent sessions — one paddling, one riding. We analyze your stance, arm placement, and wave selection before we even meet in the water.
We meet at a beach that matches your skill level, usually within the first week. For 90 minutes, we observe your paddling efficiency, pop-up timing, and how you handle different wave faces. You receive a written breakdown of strengths and priority fixes, not a generic checklist.
Based on the assessment, we build a 4-week plan that mixes in-water drills with land-based conditioning. You get specific exercises for shoulder stability, hip rotation, and ankle mobility — the three areas that most often limit intermediate surfers. Each drill has a clear rep count and rest period.
Every week, we film your sessions from two angles: a beach-level shot and a drone view when conditions allow. We review the footage together, frame by frame, focusing on your bottom turn radius, rail-to-rail transitions, and where you lose speed. You leave with a short list of one or two things to work on, not a wall of notes.
At the two-week mark, we repeat the initial assessment drills to measure improvement. We compare your paddling stroke rate, pop-up speed, and wave count per session against the baseline. This is where we adjust the plan — adding more paddle endurance or shifting focus to carving technique, depending on what the data shows.
The program ends with a full session review and a written report of your progress. You receive a personalized roadmap for the next 8 weeks, including which maneuvers to prioritize, what equipment changes to consider, and how to train safely during the monsoon swell. This is your reference point for continued improvement.
From the first video review to your final certification, each stage builds on the last. Here is the timeline we follow, with clear checkpoints so you always know where you stand.
We film your paddling, pop-up, and a few turns in the water, then review the footage together. This gives us a baseline for your speed, balance, and wave selection.
Each session targets one element: bottom turns, top turns, or paddling efficiency. You get a short land drill before we head out, so the movement pattern is fresh.
We compare your new footage with the first session. You will see the changes in your stance and timing, and we adjust the next block based on what the video shows.
We move beyond technique. You learn to identify rip currents, read sandbars, and choose the right entry point. This is also when we cover board choice for different conditions.
On-land sessions focus on paddling strength and balance. We use resistance bands and balance boards, then apply that work directly in the water with longer paddling sets.
Your last session is filmed and scored against the same criteria as the first. You receive a written progress report and a certification level based on your results.
